MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 16, 2009 - Steven Rothberg, President and Founder of CollegeRecruiter.com, has been selected as one of the presenters at the Canadian Association of Career Educators & Employers 2010 Annual Conference in Halifax, Nova Scotia next June.
"I'm excited about the opportunity to be one of the presenter at next year's CACEE annual conference," said Steven Rothberg. "This will be my first presentation at CACEE but not to Canadian audiences. Although CollegeRecruiter.com is based in Minneapolis and most of our business is in the U.S., we're seeing an increasing amount of clients from Canada and other countries. In addition, I grew up in Winnipeg so it will be nice to help and learn from the many highly respected career service and university recruiting professionals from north of the border."

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 14, 2009 - Steven Rothberg, President and Founder of CollegeRecruiter.com, has been selected as one of the presenters at the Society for Human Resource Management 2010 Annual Conference in San Diego next July.
"I've had the good fortune to be a presenter at last year's SHRM annual conference and am excited about doing so again next summer," said Steven Rothberg. "SHRM annual conferences are the can't miss events for anyone working in a field related to human resources. The exhibit floor itself is worth the price of admission as there are hundreds of booths representing vendors from every niche that supports human resource professionals. Even more important than the exhibit floor, however, are the presentations. The presenters are vetted very, very carefully and anyone who has a habit of selling from the podium is simply not going to be given the opportunity to do so at SHRM."

Most states experienced a sharp decline in the number of internships and entry level jobs posted by employers from November to December.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
MINNEAPOLIS, MN, December 4, 2009 - Despite indications of economic recovery, there's been a marked decrease in the number of internship and entry level job opportunities in most states, according to a recent review of employers' posting habits conducted by CollegeRecuiter.com, the nation's leading job board for college students and new graduates. The nation's most thinly populated states have experienced the most significant decline.
Although some states, like Ohio (4%) and Colorado (3%), have seen some increase in the number of internships on CollegeRecruiter.com at the beginning of December, most others, like Arkansas (30%) and New Mexico (24%), have significantly lower numbers than they had in November. Most states, like Pennsylvania (16% fewer internships and 10% fewer entry level jobs) and Illinois (8% fewer internships and 7% fewer entry level jobs) have fared poorly on both fronts. Some, like Oregon (8% more entry level jobs posted) and Nevada (11% more entry level jobs posted), have fared somewhat better.
"A reduction in the number of job posts is to be expected at this time of year," said content coordinator, Candice Arnold. "But we're certainly hopeful that the new year will bring with it many new opportunities."
In an effort to help job seekers quickly find employment, CollegeRecruiter.com earlier this year initiated a monthly survey of thousands of job posts to identify those states with the most, and the fewest, number of internship and entry level job opportunities posted by employers. The data, updated at the beginning of each month, is gathered through a review of recruitment trends from each state and the District of Columbia. The monthly review is intended to serve as a guide to help job seekers estimate the status of the job market in the states where they reside.
Among the states with the most opportunities, Texas is the only one to have a decrease (4%) in the number of internships posted. And Florida is only state to have an increase (5%) in the number of entry level jobs posted. Every state with the lowest number of entry level job and internship postings has experienced a significant decline in December.
Here are some of the states that have the most and fewest internships and entry level jobs available for December:
States With the Largest Number of Internships
| State | Internships - December | Internships - November | % + (-) |
| California | 2,076 | 1,899 | 9 |
| New York | 1,517 | 1,258 | 21 |
| Texas | 1,069 | 1,111 | (4) |
| Washington, D.C. | 1,038 | 826 | 26 |
| Florida | 869 | 840 | 3 |
| State | Total Entry Level Jobs - December | Total Entry Level Jobs - November | % + (-) |
| California | 13,489 | 13,760 | (2) |
| Texas | 8,351 | 8,550 | (2) |
| New York | 6,657 | 6,824 | (2) |
| Florida | 6,382 | 6,053 | 5 |
| Pennsylvania | 4,649 | 5,149 | (10) |
States With the Smallest Number of Internships
| State | Internships - December | Internships - November | % + (-) |
| South Dakota | 20 | 21 | (5) |
| Montana | 15 | 19 | (21) |
| North Dakota | 15 | 18 | (17) |
| Vermont | 14 | 15 | (6) |
| Wyoming | 3 | 7 | (57) |
States With the Smallest Number of Entry Level Jobs
| State | Total Entry Level Jobs - December | Total Entry Level Jobs - November | % + (-) |
| Vermont | 204 | 262 | (22) |
| Montana | 149 | 182 | (18) |
| North Dakota | 140 | 157 | (11) |
| Wyoming | 128 | 185 | (31) |
| South Dakota | 112 | 170 | (34) |
Take a look at the following states, which were fortunate enough to have an increase in the number of internships and entry level jobs posted to CollegeRecruiter.com in December:
In the Washington, D.C. area, Maryland and the District of Columbia have experienced an increase in the number of internships, while Virginia has experienced a decrease, but all three have experienced decreases in the number of entry level jobs posted, causing their combined total to fall from more than 12,000 to a little over 11,600 posted opportunities for December.

MINNEAPOLIS, MN, November 30, 2009 - Steven Rothberg, President and Founder of CollegeRecruiter.com, has been selected as one of the presenters at the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) 2010 Annual Conference in Orlando next June.
"I've had the good fortune to be a presenter at the NACE annual conferences before and am excited about doing so again next spring. NACE conferences are always very well attended because they know what content their attendees want, don't accept payments of any kind in return for speaking slots like some other conferences do, and are impeccably organized," said Steven Rothberg.
